Karnataka SSLC examination result declared on karresults.nc.in; 71.80% passed

NEW DELHI: Putting an end to the wait of over eight lakh candidates, Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has announced the results of the SSLC examination 2020 today, i.e., August 10, 2020. The Board has made the Karnataka SSLC result 2020 on the official website of the Karnataka Board — kseeb.kar.nic.in — for the public access.
Out of 8,11,050 students appeared, 5,82,316 students passed which marked a passing percentage of 71.80%.

This year, 2,28,734 students failed in Karnataka SSLC examination. The pass percentage of female candidates recorded 77.4% while male candidates secured a pass percentage of 66.41%. This year, six students have scored 100% in the Karnataka SSLC exam.
Announcing the SSLC results on Monday, minister for primary and secondary education S Suresh Kumar said "I congratulate students on overcoming the challenges. Some said overall result may not cross 60% this time"
Students are advised to visit either the Karnataka Board's website or Karnataka result's website — karresults.nic.in — to check their Karnataka SSLC result 2020. It should be noted that students need to login with their Karnataka class 10 roll number and date of birth to obtain their Karnataka SSLC results.

This year, as many as 4,48,560 male and 3,99,643 female candidates have taken the Karnataka SSLC examination. Karnataka Board had scheduled to commence the class 10 examination from March 27 to April 9 but had to postpone the exams due to the outbreak of pandemic and subsequent lockdown. However, the Board later conducted the Karnataka SSLC exams in June and July. The exams commenced on June 25 and concluded on July 4, 2020.
Although the three-hour exam commenced daily at 10.30 am, the students were instructed to report at their respective centres by 9 a.m. or 90 minutes earlier for thermal screening, wearing masks and washing hands with sanitizer before entering the centre.
