NIOS 10th, 12th exams 2020 postponed due to Covid-19

MUMBAI: National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) on Thursday postponed class X and XII exams, scheduled from July 17, following parents' demand countrywide.
NIOS director (evaluation) B Venkateswaran said in a circular the exams were cancelled till further orders due to Covid-19.
Earlier this week, the board issued a circular that it would evaluate class XII students with special needs on the basis of project work, instead of public exams in July.NIOS said it would soon issue detailed guidelines for evaluation. Practical exams too have been postponed.
"Will the board issue a new assessment pattern?" asked Melody Pereira, a parent.
