ALLAHABAD: The year ending exams of UP board for Class 10th and 12th started at 7786 centres across the state on Tuesday.
In the state of Hindi-belt, over 2.39 lakh students left the Hindi question paper of class 10 and 12 conducted by Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UPSEB) exams on Tuesday. A total of 157042 students of class 10th left the exams while 82091 students were absent in class 12th exam.
At least 34 examinees were caught using unfair means.
Of these, 27 were of class 10 including 26 boys and One girl student. Likewise, in class 12th, Seven boys were caught using unfair means.
Seven FIRs were also lodged in various districts wherein Six were against male examinees and One is against facilitating cheating by an outsider.
Manda police on Tuesday arrested a man identified as Lalbabu (28), a resident of Nevdia (Meja) on the charges of appearing High school examination on the place of Babloo at Babu Fateh bahadur Singh inter college, Chilbila. Manda ( station officer) Prince Dixit told reporters that the accused was appearing on the behalf of Bablu, son of Kevla ( roll no 1679655) at the examination center. A case under section 419 and 420 of IPC and 6\10 of Uttar Pradesh Sarbjanik Pariksha act with Manda police station.

In the first session, student of class 10th appeared in the exam of elementary Hindi while in the second session those of class 12th appeared for General Hindi. As these were compulsory subjects for both the classes, large number of students appeared in the exam.
The authorities controlled the proceedings with the help of 285 centre superintendent and 13072 invigilators, two of each were posted at every exam hall. Authorities have deputed 10542 secondary teachers and 2530 teachers of basic education as invigilator.
A total of 30,25,442 students were registered for high school where is 25,86,247 were for intermediate.
Authorities have asked the centre superintendents to ensure that photocopies machine shops near the examination centre should remain close and CCTV recordings within the examination hall should continue for the entire period of exam. Recording of the CCTV has to be kept safe for a minimum of 15 days and entry of any outsiders within the campus of examination centre has had been strictly prohibited.
In terms of Allahabad district, authorities had made 285 examination centres for both High School and Intermediate exams and have also made provision of online monitoring of the examination centres through the control room. Four Sector magistrate, Four Zonal magistrate, 40 static magistrate, Eight flying squad teams and large number of police force personnel had been deployed for a free and fair exam.
In terms of number of examinees in Allahabad district alone, a total of 2,17,554 students were registered for class 10th while 1,99,908 are for class 12th. Authorities have identified 27 centres at hypersensitive.
