ALLAHABAD: To enhance the quality of education,
NISHTHA (National
Initiative for School Heads' and Teachers' Holistic Advancement) was inaugurated in collaboration with
Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh at SIEMAT (
State Institute of Educational Management and Training), on Wednesday.
Experts from
NCERT including Prof
Anupam Ahuja, Prof
BP Bhardwaj and others would be imparting direct training to the participants on new methods of teaching.
During these phases 2500 KRP (key resource person) and 500 SRP (State resource person) would be trained in collaboration with SCERT (State Council of Educational Research and Training ) UP to bring revolutionary change in quality of education.
In all 201 KRP are participating from Ayodhya, Gonda, Siddharthnagar, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar and Kaushambi.
During the inaugural session, Prof Anupam Ahuja, said that the need of an hour is to develop our teachers in such a member so that they can identify the inherent qualities in students. This programme will help our teachers will help to develop their professional skills. She added that our teachers must focus on the all-round development of our children.
Prof Ahuja stated that during the programme, child center pedagogy will be the main theme and will finally lead to improvement in learning outcomes of our children.
Similarly, Prof BP Bhardwaj, Co-chairperson shared his experiences related to NISHTHA programme. He stated that country-wide the teaching and learning issues of all the teachers' are almost similar. They must empower themselves in content knowledge, communication skills, pedagogical skills and innovation and experimentation. They must transmit love for learning.
Jitendra Kumar Patidar (coordinator) NISHTHA discussed the various dimensions of the programme. He introduced all the 12 modules of the programme and added that this will help in enhancing the quality of education.
Amit Khanna, HOD (MIS) thanked all the delegates and participants for participating in world's largest educational programme. The programme will enhance the quality of teaching in the classroom and lead to improvement in learning outcome of children.
