NEW DELHI: A fresh batch of 275 Indian nationals evacuated from Iran arrived at the Army’s quarantine facility at
Jodhpur on Sunday morning. They will join the 277 evacuees who are already at the “wellness facility” there after coming from Iran on March 25.
As part of the ongoing “Operation Namaste”, the armed forces are currently running six quarantine or wellness facilities at
Hindan,
Manesar,
Jaisalmer, Jodhpur,
Ghatkopar and Chennai, where over 1,300 civilian evacuees from countries like Italy, Iran and
Malaysia are currently housed.

At Jodhpur, the preliminary screening of the evacuees was conducted at the airport by the medical teams from the civil administration and the Army before they were moved to the wellness center.
“The wellness centers are fully geared up to accommodate all evacuees and provide them with requisite medical and administrative support during their quarantine period,” said the official.
