Storm Sabine: Lufthansa cancels Monday flights to Munich from Delhi, Mumbai
NEW DELHI: A severe winter storm “Sabine” over northern and central Europe could affect flights and from the region till Tuesday morning. Among the impacted flights to and from India are Lufthansa’s flights between Munich to Delhi and Mumbai on Monday. Air India has also rescheduled some of its European flights. Comments from other carriers that fly direct between India and Europe are awaited.
“Lufthansa’s Munich-Mumbai and Munich-Delhi flights operated on Sunday.
But they will not be operating the return sector (from Delhi and Mumbai to Munich) on Monday. Lufthansa’s Munich-Mumbai and Munich-Delhi will not operate on Monday,” said an official.
A senior AI official said the airline has rescheduled some of its flights.
The Lufthansa website says: “Due to the severe winter storm ‘Sabine’ over northern and central Europe, Lufthansa Group flights may be affected until at least Tuesday morning. Please check lufthansa.com regularly for further information…. The ‘Deutsche Bahn’ also expects disruptions and train cancellations..”
