JAMMU:
Pakistan troops on Thursday violated
ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) for the fourth consecutive day by resorting to unprovoked firing in three sectors of Poonch district of Jammu and
Kashmir.
“Pakistan troops this morning around 11 violated ceasefire in Shahpur, Kirni amd Qasba sectors of Poonch,” a Jammu-based defence spokesperson said.
On Wednesday, Pakistan army had violated ceasefire by firing along the LoC in Shahpur sector of Poonch district.
Earlier, on May 5, Pakistan had violated ceasefire twice in
Manjakote of
Rajouri and Balakote in Poonch district. On May 4, Pakistan violated ceasefire twice in Rajouri district when it resorted to firing and mortar shelling along the LoC in
Nowshera and Sunderbani sectors of the district.
