Pakistan violates ceasefire along LoC in Rajouri
JAMMU: Pakistan breached the truce along the Line of Control (LoC) in Manjakote sector of Rajouri district late on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after violating ceasefire along the LoC in the district’s Nowshera and Sunderbani sectors on Monday.
“Around 8.30pm, Pakistan initiated unprovoked firing of small arms and intense mortar shelling along the LoC in Manjakote sector, to which the Indian Army retaliated effectively,” Jammu-based defence spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said.

There has been a spurt in ceasefire violations by Pakistan since a month now.
On April 29, Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire in Shahpur and Kirni sectors along the LoC in Poonch district. On April 28, Pakistan resorted to unprovoked mortar shelling and small weapon firing along the LoC in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors of Poonch. On April 27, Pakistan violated the ceasefire along the LoC in Mankote sector of the same district, targeting forward posts and border villages in the area.
