Time for BJP allies to decide if they are with farmers: Congress

NEW DELHI: Congress on Friday said all the BJP allies will have to spell out their stance on the “anti-farmer” bills being brought by the ruling BJP.
Upping the ante after Akali Dal minister Harsimrat Badal resigned from the Union Cabinet, AICC spokesperson Randeep Surjewala and MP Gaurav Gogoi said it was time for Nitish Kumar’s JD(U), JJP, TRS, YSRCP and AIADMK to decide if they stand with the farmers or are eager to continue enjoying power without concern for the farming community.
“This is Mahabharat in which BJP is in the role of Kauravas who are anti-farmer and facing them are Pandavas in the form of farmers and farm labourers. Congress is with the Pandavas. Now, all the BJP allies who are enjoying the power will have to decide if they stand with farmers or with Kauravas,” they said.
