Bengaluru: JD(S) fields four more, including Ashok Poojari from Gokak

Bengaluru, Nov 19: The JD(S), which had announced names of its candidates for 11 constituencies and extended support to BJP rebel candidate in Hoskote constituency, Sharath Bache Gowda, on Monday, fielded four more candidates for the bypoll. With this, the party is contesting in 14 constituencies and supporting independence in the remaining one.

Its nominees, Guru Dasyal from Athank, Shaila Parasappa Toobashetty in Kagwad, Asok Poojary from Gokak and Shivalinga Mahacharya Swamiji in Hirekerur, filed nomination papers on Monday, which happened to be the last day for filing of nominations.

The party also announced names of 40-star campaigners. The list includes eight names from H D Deve Gowda's family including Anita Kumaraswamy, Prajwal Revanna and Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
