HONOR MagicWatch2 with Kirin A1 chipset, HONOR Band 5i with built-in USB connector launching soon on Amazon India


HUAWEI’s HONOR brand announced its MagicWatch 2, the successor to the MagicWatch recently and the company is all set to launch its smartwatch in India soon. Alongside the MagicWatch 2, HONOR is also launching the ‘HONOR Band 5i’, which is an upgrade to the HONOR Band 5 that was launched last year. Both the products are expected to be unveiled alongside the HONOR 9X next week.

HONOR MagicWatch 2 46mm is listed on Amazon India’s microsite and the ‘Notify Me’ option is now live on the site. Also, users purchasing the MagicWatch 2 will get FREE HONOR xSport AM61 Bluetooth earphones worth Rs. 3699.

Regarding the specifications, HONOR MagicWatch 2 has a circular AMOLED screen, Kirin A1 chip, support for Bluetooth 5.1, voice calling when connected to Bluetooth, thanks to speaker and microphone, multi-function NFC, support for 15 sports modes, sleep tracking, heart rate tracking and atrial fibrillation, blood oxygen saturation, pressure management and more. It comes with a 5ATM rating so it is water-resistant at a depth of 50 meters. The watch packs a 455mAh battery that promises up to 14 days of battery life.

Coming to the HONOR Band 5i, it sports a 0.96-inch touch color display which is slightly larger than the Band 5’s 0.95-inch display. It also now features a built-in USB connector that allows easy charging through USB without a dedicated charging cradle. Users can also change the watch faces from the new HONOR Watch Face Store. It comes with HUAWEI TruSeen 3.0  continuous heart rate tracking and is also water-resistant up to 50 meters. The band has automatic activity tracking that lets you track 10 fitness activities such as running, cycling, swimming with swim stroke recognition and more.

It also has TruSleep technology that uses cardiopulmonary coupled dynamics spectrum (CPC) to monitor complete sleep structure including deep sleep (REM) to analyze sleep and offer personalized sleep recommendations. The Band 5i can be used to check incoming calls, preview messages in real-time. It is also equipped to find your phone and also, can be used to take photos by just lifting the wrist and using the band. Just like the HONOR Band 5, Band 5i also features SpO2 monitor to track oxygen saturation levels and this will be enabled through a software update.
