The Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has announced that the remaining Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams of class X and XII will be conducted between July 1 to July 15.
The schedule of the exams will be announced soon. On April 1, CBSE had announced that it will conduct examinations of 29 major papers instead of the 41 pending papers of Classes X and XII.
For class X, exams will be conducted in six subjects in North-East Delhi only. The board is also planning to soon re-start the evaluation process of the answer sheets that was stopped in March due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier this week, Pokhriyal had announced the fresh dates for the JEE-Mains (engineering entrance exam) and NEET (medical entrance exam).
The JEE (Mains) will be held from July 18 to 23, and NEET exam to take place on July 26. While, the JEE (Advanced) will be held on August 23, 2020.
Both JEE and NEET exams are conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting body.
Meanwhile, CBSE had announced all students in classes 1 to 8 will be promoted without exams. Those in class 9 and 11 will be promoted to next grade on the basis of internal assessments of the school.
